It’s a generally accepted truth that the path to better health includes diet and exercise. We know we must pay attention to the foods we eat and work our bodies regularly if we want to feel good. For overall health, we must also attend to our emotional “muscles.” For just as our legs and arms grow stronger when we exercise them, so do our moods and emotions grow stronger the more often they are used.
Unfortunately for many of us, we exercise our worry, anxiety, and fear muscles every day, so they are quite strong. If we want to experience more joy and happiness in our life, we must consciously practice those emotional states every day so that, when we are under stress, our positive emotional muscles are strong enough to pull us through. In tele-class, Jim will talk about coaching and share tips and tools that can help individuals experience more happiness.
