Setting and maintaining boundaries and limits with others can be very empowering. It includes telling others what we want and need from them and sticking by those decisions. When we effectively do this we take better care of ourselves, we maintain our self-respect, and increase the possibility that we’ll have more control over our work and our lives.  When we set better boundaries at work, it often results in projects being effectively completed, people don't take advantage of us, and communication and morale are better.

In this interactive session you'll learn what is a boundary, why it is often difficult to set and maintain them, examples of setting effective boundaries, and the five specific steps to setting them successfully. 

Mark Sachs is an organization consultant and executive coach in the Washington, DC area who has been working with clients for many years to help them set effective boundaries. He is a recognized expert in this area.  In his consulting practice, his areas of expertise are in managing change, and leadership and team development.  He received his MS in Organization Development from the American University/NTL Institute, and MA and BA degrees in Sociology from Rutgers University. He is also a graduate of Coach University.
